I just received an announcement from WeddingWire, (one of my favorite wedding resources for both brides and vendors) that Cardgirl has won a 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!
The Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate “excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility.” This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community (exciting huh?!), which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means Cardgirl is one of the very best.
Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews.
Soooo, a big THANK YOU to my fabulous clients for speaking on my behalf and helping me win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!
I was thrilled to receive email from Josh over at LCI Paper a few weeks ago requesting an interview with me about Cardgirl and CardgirlDIY. And I have to admit, it was a pretty good time!
LCI Paper is an online company who specializes in DIY wedding stationery materials. They have an amazing selection of paper, decorative paper, pocket folds, envelopes, labels…they even sell custom napkins.
So thanks Josh. That was fun. Here’s the interview for you all to see. Enjoy!
I am so excited to share with you that I have been invited into Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book. I consider this quite an honor, as there are only three hand-picked listings per category!
Style Me Pretty is an amazing site (and blog) all about wedding inspiration. If you’re getting married (or just love design),and haven’t checked it out, you must.
Stop by and take a look at Cardgirl in the Little Black Book!

In the world of evites and texting we all love to see a hand addressed envelope among the bills and junk in the mailbox. That is definitely the first piece of mail opened, and will surely make its way to a prominent location on the fridge.
So get your creativity flowing…like a river…and make those invitations…by hand…with paper! Oh and no address labels please. Use a fun pen to address your invites. I know, that’s a lot of work, but so worth it. Really.
I’m here to help. Check out the site for ideas & inspiration. And if you are totally stuck…drop me a note.
Welcome to Cardgirl’s DIY resource site! Mail it.
