Timeless Postage
It’s almost time to mail your wedding invitations…and what better timing for the postage to increase?!
Effective May 11, 2009, postage will increase. Be sure to check out the new prices before purchasing stamps for your wedding invitations.

For your reply envelopes, you may want to consider the Forever stamp. This stamp will be honored after the postage increase. So if you mail your invitations before the increase, the replies will come back without needing additional postage.
Those 2 cent stamps available at the post office are AWFUL. I assure you that you don’t want those on your wedding invitations. For some other 2 cent options, take a look at the Champion Stamp vintage collection. Watch out, the online catalog takes forever to download. But it’s worth the wait. Another fun idea is to load a ton of vintage postage onto your RSVP envelope or postcard. I love the idea of covering most of the card, with the exception of the address (thanks to my client Adrienne for this great idea).
Zazzle.com is also a nice option. You can customize your stamps, so if you’re not in love with the wedding stamps available through the US Postal Service (and how can you be anyway)…you do have options.
